WOW!!! Thanks so much for your time and understanding, AshleyT. I learned a lot about identifying rabbits. My area of specialty is in shells and birds, but I am thrilled to learn more. Please feel free to help me learn. Thanks😀

Not a strange morph. There is regional variation of many species throughout their ranges.

Ok. It must be a strange morph or something because I see eastern cottontails all the time and they do NOT look like that.

It can be an eastern cottontail. Because it is an eastern cottontail. Only other rabbit in range is the marsh rabbit, which has tiny ears. This isn't a marsh rabbit.

It can't be an eastern cottontail, even though they are around. What is it then?

Except swamp rabbits are not in range....

Looks like a swamp rabbit, not an eastern cottontail
