Many-banded Krait

Bungarus multicinctus

Description:

Not sure, but could be Bungarus multicinctus multicinctus, which is venomous. Saw 2 of them on the same night, both around 1 meter in length and both very timid/shy. It tends to coil up and hide its head/face.

Habitat:

Seen during a night walk at Tai Po Kau Forest Reserve

Thanks, @Ashley for verifying the ID :)
It was really cool to see them despite not knowing what they could be at that time, and to see their timid behaviour.

You look to be correct with Many-banded Krait, Bungarus multicinctus. Was definitely a good idea to keep your distance! Though this is a great example of a snake that could easily kill you with one bite, yet is terrified of you and just wants to hide from you and for you to go away :)
