Nest

Description:

Small pouch nest attached with spiderweb. Decorated with leaves. Probably a vireo nest. It blends so well I have been walking past it for weeks. My hiking buddy spotted it and generously shared. It is in the center of Photo 2 - look for the red berries.

Habitat:

Riparian woods on Lake Lewisville.

You are taller now. Someone told me that and I adjusted how I look for nests. It does work. Robins nest in lower half of trees usually below a dense layer of leaves. Squat down and look up like you did as a kid. :)

I love nests. I hope I find some eggs sometimes. I use to find robin eggs/nest when I was a kid all the time, but never as an adult.
