Herring Gull

Larus argentatus

Description:

I have separated this specific bird away from the other Herring Gulls as it has a different wing-tip pattern and different bill colour. This is because it is a sub-adult in its 3rd or 4th year as it has yet to get its wing mirrors (white patches on the primary flight feathers) and bill colour, still having the black marks of a juvenile.

Habitat:

Coastal hills
