Savouring the catch of the day !
Wild Ass Sanctuary encompasses an area of 4953.71 sq. km. of the Little Rann of Kutch, India. It's unique habitat comprises of saline mudflats, marshes, scrub-land and large seasonal wetlands. In the monsoon, the sanctuary is filled with seasonal brackish water and once it dries up, the land transforms into a vast span of cracked land. It is a haven for avian diversity ranging from waders to raptors and mammals like the endangered Indian Wild Ass (Equus hemionus khur), Desert fox, Striped Hyena and Indian Wolf.
Spotted this Desert fox scanning the scrub-land and digging for food. Eventually it was successful in recovering something to munch on.

Vipul, this is a wonderful spotting but could you please write something about the kind of place where you spotted this fox - under "habitat" ( I notice it's near a Sanctuary) . Also, a good reference link would be nice. Thanks.
