Drepanidae Moth

Sewa sp.

Description:

Another of those white moths with monsoon clouds on the wings and yellow and black marks. The body shape is like a stealth bomber.

Habitat:

Wall of the resort at Borong, Sikkim. Hilly, remote, unpopulated area with lots of wild vegetation.

Notes:

Bird dropping mimic. there is the glossy feacal component (abdomen), the white mottled component (forewings) and coloured urine component (hind wings).

bayucca. THANK you....I have changed it to Drepanidae.
I see that Sewa sp was Abraxas earlier...so is it still OK to write Abraxas? Wikipedia says Abraxas is Geometridae...I am confused.
And certainly not M. maia....I saw it once you know and was stunned:http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1446556016

There is a Sewa orbiferata which looks very similar to yours. But the picture from the link is too small to be sure about the genus and I did not find any other info about it.

This is not a Geometridae, but Drepanidae. Not sure what the actual taxon is, possibly Sewa sp. or Macrocilix sp. (but not Macrocilix maia!).
