Thank you, ForestDragon. I think I will mark it as the Conocephalus genus at least for the moment.
This looks like a species of Meadow Katydid. I am leaning towards one of the Lesser Meadow Katydids but I have not found a match at this time. Here is a link: http://bugguide.net/node/view/460781/bgp...
