Shield Bug

Description:

A small black Shield Bug with a prominent white spot on the tip of the scutellum. The underside is cream colored and the legs are orange. This species is about 8 mm in length. Family Pentatomidae.

Habitat:

On a bush along the highway between San Cristobal and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 18.5, 1164 meters elevation.
