Ptyonoprogne rupestris
Crag martin is a large and compact ashy-brown swallow, up to 15 cm in length. Like most swallows, it has a long and pointed wings, and spends most of its time in air - and it is a real nightmare to catch a clean click of it when on wing... It also has a very short legs and small swallow-type bill.
Observed, in large numbers, on a cliff face of one of Jura summits, in valley of Rhône - part of Jura Natural Reserve.
