Green Frog

Lithobates clamitans

Notes:

My wife was on her jog and she noticed this frog on the side of the road. She nudged it a bit and it was alive but wouldn't move. She called me on her cell and asked me to bring a pail of water. When I picked up the frog, it didn't try to get away and was sticky to the touch. When I put it in the pail, it started to move right away and was swimming. I took it home and placed it in a small wetland at the rear of our home, That's where the picture came from.

Thanks, AshleyT! What an expert you are! I rescued a salamander, today, off the road again and relocated him to the same wetland. After I insert your very helpful links and info, I'll post the new sighting. Thanks, again!

Glad you were able to help this guy out! Hopefully he will stay in that wetland :) You can tell it's a green frog because its dorsolateral fold is broken towards the back, northern leopards frog have a complete dorsolateral fold until the thigh
