Eastern Red-backed Salamander

Plethodon cinereus

Description:

It didn't run away at all, perhaps because it was cold out

Habitat:

Under a medium-sized stick in a wet, marshy area next to a lake.

Notes:

This is the first time I have photographed a salamander, and only my second time finding one in the wild. I didn't actually touch it, but I put my finger next to it for size.
