Common Tern; Charrán Común

Sterna hirundo

Description:

Looks very like an Arctic Tern with the longish tail streamers and apparently all-red bill but they are so rare on this coast that none of the supposed sightings have been ratified. A close look at the bill shows a hint of black on the upper tip.

Habitat:

Flying along coast by coastal marshes.
