Epiphytic Flower

Description:

Very distinct and beautiful red and yellow tubular flowers growing on an epiphytic plant. Family Gesneriaceae.

Habitat:

This epiphyte was growing on a large tree about 7 feet off the ground. The flowers and leaves grew out on the ends of long segmented sort of fleshy stems (see last picture). Central park of Fortín de Las Flores, Veracruz.
