Description:

Small red and dark metallic green Rove Beetle, about 8 mm long. Very active and fast predator. Family Staphylinidae.

Habitat:

Hunting along the river bank, both on the ground and on low growing plants. Barranca de Metlac near Fortin de Las Flores, Veracruz, Mexico.
