Oriental bugleweed

Ajuga orientalis

Description:

An oriental bugleweed (Ajuga orientalis), is a clump-forming, rhizomatous perennial, 30-45cm in height. Leaves 3-9cm long, ovate to oblong, broadly rounded-toothed, sometimes shallowly lobed, densely woolly-hairy. Flowers 12-16mm long, violet-blue, but there are several subspecies, showing color diversity, just as this bi-color flowered plant, which was spotted near Milies village, Pelion mountain, Greece.
