Myrmotherula klagesi
The Klages's Antwren (Myrmotherula klagesi, Choquinha-do-tapajós): a Brazilian endemic was thought lost to science for over 50 years until re-discovered some 20 years ago on the Anavilhanas Archipelago north of Manaus. Today this is the tiny antwrens stronghold where it inhabits tall terra-firme forest where this photo of a male was taken.
