Argiope catenulata
Grass Cross Spider (Argiope catenulata, Doleschall 1859; Arachnida: Araneae: Araneidae) is a species of Orb-weaver spider ranging from India to the Philippines to Papua New Guinea. Like other species of the same genus, it builds a web with a zig-zag stabilimentum. (Wikipedia) In the Philippines, they are known as gagambang ekis ("X spider", due to the stabilementa), and gagambang pari ("priest spider", due to the spider's body resembling a priest's head with a mitre).
