We observed this other red naped trogon a few days earlier in Tabin. I had mixed this spotting with that of a scarlet rumped trogon. Both were at the same time in the same area so I thought they were the same species. After reviewing my guides for the red naped in Sepilok area I noticed the mistake so I place it now as a separate spotting from Tabin.
