Yellow Rat Snake

Description:

Approximately 2-2.5 ft long, yellow and black striped snake. The yellow rat snake is a subspecies of the Rat snake. Non-venomous.

Habitat:

Found near the base of a tree on a trail in the marshes of the Little Ogeechee River. Salt marsh, estuary, coastal GA.
