Handsome Fungus Beetle

Endomychidae

Description:

I encountered this mysterious creature when we were looking at a spider on top of the fungus. When we bent down, we found this large beetle perched on the underside of the fungus. It had two large, black antennas, six legs, and a smooth, black body with bright orange spots. I wouldn't know because I didn't have the guts to touch it, but the orange spots seemed like the survival strategy of warning coloration. It also mimicked a ladybug in a way, except a much larger version.

Habitat:

It was directly under a large, white fungus stuck onto a tree, and even though the tree was receiving direct sunlight, the beetle was in total darkness by its shaded fungus. It was in a secondary rainforest.

Do you think it could be a Eumorphus Marginatus?
