Habitat:

Spotted on taro (Xanthosoma sagittifolium) in a large semi-urban yard & garden and a disturbed patch of remnant forest.

I was going back and forth between these two species.
I don't think their is a reliable way to distinguish them without more photos on BOLD.

I think this is Euproctis trispila:

But we cannot rule out: Euproctis acatharta
