Back yard of our house, Gangtok City suburb. This place is situated at the edge of a big forest.
Spotted this beatiful chocolate butterfly at the back yard while I was just getting ready for my clinic this morning.

You're right. One interesting butterflyt behavior I observed here: most butterflies keep their wings open for basking, but this one kept them folded for a long time in the morning sun!
Oh, that's the upper wing ! Such a beautiful butterfly. Amazing that I commented on it twice ! Haven't been on PN so much lately with all the travelling and dodgy internet. Really caught my eye.
So it's actually the second time I've seen it without realizing.
Thanks Pam. It was quite a surprise for me to spot this Punchinello at our back yard! Because the earlier one, and my first one was some 150km away at a very hot place, almost at sea level! Remember even you'd certain queries about that place where I'd spotted that beauty at the first time? Pl check at: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/115...
Nice ! First time I've seen one of these...
