Sterculia lanceolata
Twenty five to thirty feet tall multi-trunk tree with open-hand sized crimson red flowers bearing dark bluish fleshy seeds. Many fleshy petals and seeds are seen fallen to the ground. Many seeds are already germinating (e.g. photo no.5).
This bunch of tree was spotted growing along with a bamboos on an isolated plot. Surrounding it there are human settlements in hamlets, there also tea gardens and other forests. The place is warm to hot. Altitude about 1,000m.
