Eastern Grey Kangaroo

Macropus giganteus

Description:

Australian marsupial and macropod, grey grizzly fur lighter underneath, dark points to tail, face, ears, hind legs and forelimbs, large dark eyes, large ears, strong tail, females carry young in the pouch. This female allows joey to suckle milk from outside the pouch, but first they check to make sure all is safe.

Habitat:

Found in forest and open country throughout eastern Australia. These ones in dry woodland and garden in north east NSW.
