Savannah Sparrow

Passerculus sandwichensis

Description:

Small sparrow similar to the Song Sparrow except for streaking pattern on face and chest. Longer toes and small crest on heads. Most Savannahs you can see the yellow spot on the lores. Buffy stripes on face.

Habitat:

open grassy or grainy fields. I find them mostly roadside and hanging out on or near barbed wire fences.
