I had promised my friends from out of town that they would get to see some sea lions. The sea lions are ALWAYS there. All winter long. They had been for 20 years. Piles of them. This particular year, however, we missed them by a month, and nobody knows why. http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/1... They're apparently back again. After my friends left town of course. These few were all that were there (we ended up seeing about 10 of them, which is ALMOST as good as seeing 300).
