Gulf Flounder

Description:

Flounders are flat fish that lay on the ocean floor. They hatch and look like normal fish, but as they get older, their right eye migrates to the left side of their body. They are considered left-eyed flounders, there are also right-eyed founders. The last photo shows the bottom side where you can see its organs.

Habitat:

They are found in the Gulf of Mexico on the ocean floor and in brackish water areas.
