Platygryllus sp ?
greyish immature cricket; body, without appendages,15mm long, the spines on the rear tibia look very pale - perhaps this individual has just moulted which would explain his apparently crumpled wings as well. Adults reach 19mm in length and are dark brown with a pale stripe along the outer edge of the wings.
open sandy vehicle turning area near buildings
Another possibility for ID is the Brown Cricket, Acanthogryllus fortipes but this species requires the hind tibia to have 2 rows of heavy, long spines down each rear tibia, perhaps the no. of spines increases with successive moults
