I don't know this species so I won't suggest it, but do you think it might be Campylopus tallulensis? Because "Campylopus flexuosus has been only found in a few localities in the coastal lowlands of British Columbia and a single locality in the Appalachian Mountains." http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?f...
