Cup moth on Grevillea

Doratifera vulnerans

Description:

Looking the same shape but a little larger than the Doratifera vulnerans cups (which are found on eucalyptus) this cup is also a very different colour. About 12mm tall. Attachment looks similar too with a small patch of bark removed and silk put straight onto the wood. This is on a species of Grevillea yet to be determined.

Habitat:

In a local nature reserve adjoining a national park.

Notes:

This one will be followed hoping for update after winter :-)
Ok nine months later and you won't believe this...
