I would not be surprised, Mackenzie O. The proboscis is endemic from Borneo and most of the island in special the Indonesia part of it is being deforested to plant palms for oil production. Not a nice perspective for all nature in the island. I think in Sabah efforts are being made to preserve nature but for sure is still not enough to stop the rate at which these animals are loosing their habitat.. :-(
