Description:

Can you see him? I very nearly missed him. Body about 2.5cm long Grasshopper/locust. Grey body, grey head, back and wings, brown to grey to black gradient. side of body is black with a bright yellow stripe running from the top of the eye down the body, and another from the throat down the body. Very striking close up, practically invisible otherwise. Did not see the wings when open. Large back legs striped (seemed to be missing one on this side)

Habitat:

Seen in grasses and leaf debri on the side of a dirt road in open woodland, enroute to Katavi.
