Unknown Fly

Description:

A large robust fly with a sooty thorax and broad abdomen. No distinctive marks or patterns seen. Clear wings were tinted brown at the base. Might have had a couple of white specks on the terminal abdominal segments.

Habitat:

Spotted in a nature reserve.

Notes:

Not able to identify this fly but will keep looking. Tachinidae ?
