A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Clavulinopsis miyabeana
I used to search for fugi and mushroom two or three days after rain. I do not have expectations in areas near my house where concrete building is around. This time is a big surprise to me when I meet this “red Corel” in the park, a small park with many people passing by daily. They are appear in large amount of quantity and is very similar to burnt incense stick during ghost festival (lunar calendar July 15)
It is summer in Hong Kong and been raining for few days, leaves fall down and worker do not clean way it. the “coral” take the chance to grow form the sandy soil under the shade of the falling leaves and the tree.

Hi Yeung PK! This image does a wonderful job of capturing a colorful coral fungus on the forest floor, complete with fallen leaves, trees and green foliage in the background. Could you please provide us with some more information about the habitat where this was photographed? Thanks in advance.
Very photogenic.
