Description:

Small, red, waxy, cartilaginouse, stalkless, wartlike, and coarsely wrinkled, the Red Tree Brain sticks out like a sore thumb this time of the year. They overwinter.

Habitat:

On dead twigs and branches of trembling aspen and other poplars.
