I agree. It must be a member of Lycidae ("net-winged beetles").
I don't know the Australian fauna well enough to come of with a more precise ID.
Definitely looks like a Net-wing, seems like a large difficult to I.D group though. http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_...
