Lady Bug Pupa

Description:

This weird little thing about 8 mm long, is the pupa of a Lady Bug, attached to a leaf. In the last two pictures, there is a midge next to it which may end up its lunch. Family Coccinellidae.

Habitat:

Plants along the shoreline, Lake Catemaco, Veracruz, Mexico.
