Aidemona azteca
Yellow, red and black grasshopper nymph, about 8 mm in length. These little guys are great jumpers. It has a great Mexican name too "Aztec Spur-Throat" with a distribution from mid Mexico up into the United States. The nymphs have this bright noticeable coloring, while the adults are more drab and blend into the environment. They do have the same colored hind legs though on the inner side of the femura (see the adult here: http://madrean.org/symbfauna/collections.... Family Acrididae.
Near Lake Catemaco, Veracruz, Mexico, flaunting himself on the upper sides of leaves.
