Anole Lizard

Anolis sp.

Description:

There are 391 species of Anolis, so I'll leave this up to the experts if anyone is interested. For markings, there's a narrow white stripe along its shoulder and some faint banding on the end of the tail. Its ground color is a rich reddish brown. This anole was about six inches long including tail, and went up the tree before I could get another shot of it.

Habitat:

It was spotted in open forest, at about 4' above the forest floor on a leaning tree. It was found on the Pacific slope of the Osa Peninsula. Not a particularly moist area.
