Thanks for the info! :) I was getting confused as to whether it was a mantid or a stick insect.

I was about to say stick insect... but the eyes and fore limbs are indicative of a mantis. Sure enough...Hoplocoryphella Grandis of the stick mantids. described as very slender with a remarkably wide hammer shaped head. even has that tail of stick insects. It says here that they have very beautiful, translucent bubble like egg casings. Great Find !!
