Description:

Small Lycaenidae, with a wingspan of about 17 mm. Male. The body is hairy. This species of butterflies has a very evident sexual dimorphism, since, whereas the wings of the males are of blue sky color with metallic reflections, those of the females are brown. Both males and females have pale brown undersides with black spots and orange crescents. The caterpillar reaches 1.6 centimetres in length, has a dark green body with dark spines , and yellow bands along the back and sides. The caterpillars have a very curious characteristic, the mirmecofília, phenomenon of symbiotic relationship with ants.

Habitat:

Spotted at hilly country with dispersed cultivated fields
