Sapo-martelo (Blacksmith tree frog)

Hypsiboas faber (Wied-Neuwied, 1821)

Description:

The blacksmith tree frog (Hypsiboas faber) is a frog species in the family Hylidae found in Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. Blacksmith tree frog is a large species whose males have 85 to 95 mm and females reach 90 to 100 mm.
Called in Brazil "sapo-martelo", has this name because of its croak, which sounds like a hammer beating against a tin.

Habitat:

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marshes, plantations, rural gardens, heavily degraded former forests, and ponds.
This one I found about 840 m above sea level, near the jungle of Atlantic Forest, at Parque São Vicente, in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro.

Notes:

The town of the coordinates (lat: -22.538557, long: -43.228027) that I used for search, is not DUQUE DE CAXIAS, as reports the search map tool of this page, but PETRÓPOLIS, as shown here:
