Wax Scale Insect

Description:

Looks like a teeny tiny poached egg or an ornate bindi.

Habitat:

On a potted plant which is part of my neighbor' s rooftop terrace garden. She says it is a worm that eats the leaves of the plant.

Notes:

http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/528... It reminds me of this mollusc...but this spotting is much-much smaller.
