Habitat:

Seen growing roadside in large bushy patches between coastal prairie environment and coastal mangroves.

Notes:

Couldn't find much detail information on line about this plant other than ID photos and taxonomy. seems to be introduced from central America. There was a lot of it blooming near the Flamingo Visitor Center (extreme southern tip of Florida) of the Everglades National Park.
