Maple looper moth

Parallelia bistriaris

Description:

Dark brown, two parallel lighter lines, grey edge to forewing. Larvae feed on a variety of trees, including birch, maples, walnut. (information from BugGuide)

Habitat:

City park

Notes:

This moth was found inside a building and I only managed a couple of shots before releasing it. I wanted a final "on the tree" image, but it flew away before I could get it situated.
