Greater Soapfish

Rypticus saponaceus

Habitat:

From Bermuda to Brazil and Caribbean in shallow reefs.

Notes:

When I first saw it I thought it was a dead Angelfish. But then I saw the peculiarly shaped head. They rest on the bottom or leaning against the reef as they are nocturnal hunters.
