Longtail Skipper

Urbanus sp.

Description:

A quite large, fast flying skipper Pretty sure it will be one of the Astraptes sp.

Habitat:

Forested slopes around Laguna de Apoyo

Notes:

2 possible names for this. Two-barred Flasher (Astrapes fulgerator) and Green Flasher (Astraptes talus). I think it is probably the Green Flasher.

I thik it is one of the Urbanus sp., but I cannot tell you which one for sure, probably not even with a ventral shot. Do you have any?
