Colorful Crust Fungus

Peniophora rufa

Description:

You could see a gradient of color ranging from bright orange to reddish-purple. I think the orange ones were exposed to more water, being on the top of the twig. The next day after it rained I came back to look at it and all the fungi were orange (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/206...)

Habitat:

On a rotting stick in a moist, shady back yard near a forested swamp
