Picture taken in National Park Corcovado/ Reserva Corcovado, Costa Rica, sent to me by Angelita Barberena to share. The Baird's Tapir Project of Costa Rica is the longest ongoing tapir project in the world, having started in 1994. It involves placing radio collars on tapirs in Costa Rica's Corcovado National Park to study their social systems and habitat preferences. Tapir/Danta/Macho del Monte....1000 left in Costa Rica.... Endangered species..... : (
