Tiger Moth

Description:

Smokey grey Tiger Moth with some metallic blue along the lateral sides of the thorax and abdomen. The wings are clear in the center with smokey grey around the edges. The thorax is bright orange with 4 dark bands. About 1 cm long. Family Erebidae, Arctiinae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light, Finca Argovia, Ruta de Café, Soconusco Area of Chiapas, about 2 hours north of Tapachula.
